Northwestern head men basketball teacher Bill Carmody has . The addition of Ivan Vujic to the Wildcats rod as an assistant instructor. Vujic comes to NU after most recently serving as the Director of Basketball Operations at DePaul University the past two years. He begins his August 1.
My pole and I are very enthusiastic to welcome Ivan to our suite, Carmody said. I know he is hot and bothered about the break to move into a full-time assistant drilling position and I credit his addition will pay in recruiting as well as on the floor. He has knowledgeable from two coaches I have major admiration for in Coach Homer Drew and Coach Jerry Wainwright and they could not say enough good kit about him. I look forward to looking Ivan inculcate his work ethic and inflexibility in our talented big kids as well as the rest of the team.
A local of Split, Croatia, Vujic played university at Valparaiso University from 1998-2000. He middle America for the Crusaders for two seasons, 10.6 points and 5.7 per game while ration lead the team to a pair of Mid-Continent Conference fixed period and tourney titles and two resulting NCAA playoffs appearances. He went on to earn a Bachelor of Arts amount with a slight in brute schooling from Valparaiso in 2006.
Before joining the Crusaders, Vujic played two seasons at Vincennes (Ind.) University from 1996-98. Vujic was chosen a fourth-team Junior College All-American by Street & Smiths Basketball Magazine before his additional season at Vincennes.
Upon the completion of his collegial career, Vujic played four proficient in Europe and Puerto Rico before teaching the B.C. Dubrava-Zagreb club team. He then to Valparaiso where he served as an assistant tutor for the 2005-06 time before disbursements the past two at DePaul.
