Hoffenheim loses 2 more players to injuries
Hoffenheim, already missing several key players, has lost two more to knee injuries.
Defender Matthias Jaissle tore a ligament in his left knee and is out for the season, while defender Andreas Ibertsberger also hurt his knee and will be out for at least four weeks.
Hoffenheim, promoted at the start of the season, led the Bundesliga at the halfway mark and has been one of the success stories this season. But the team has been decimated by injuries and has not won in seven games.
The latest two injuries came in Saturdays 2-2 draw with Hannover, Hoffenheims fifth draw.
It played without forward Vedad Ibisevic, Chinedu Obasi, Sejad Salihovic and Demba Ba. Ibisevic, who led the league with 18 goals, is also out for the season.
Hoffenheim is now in fifth place, five points behind leader Hertha Berlin.
