1) soccer, so i was playing soccer a couple weeks ago and we had the coach im going to have next year for high school and we were playing a game and he only played me for five mins in a 1h 10min game and i’m a good soccer player and he just didnt play me cuz i was fat and your first assumption of a fat person is oh they must suck at sports. so thats 1 reason i want to loose weight

2) i went to middle school for about five weeks then i had some issues with my only friends and went to be home schooled and one of my old friends was asking my cousin if i was still fat and such and said she bets when i graduate i will be 500 pounds. Offense

Ireland scored 15 goals in 10 matches during qualification and seven of them came from captain Robbie Keane, who has made a name for himself in England on a number of teams and is now plying his trade in the United States for the Los Angeles Galaxy alongside former England captain David Beckham. Keane can still finish with the best of them and he seems a lot older than 31, which makes him the perfect captain for this Irish squad. But he has to get some support and that could come on the wings via Aiden McGeady and Damien Duff if manager Giovanni Trappottoni decides to use an extra central midfielder. McGeady has long been thought of as the next great Irish star and he has played well since leaving Celtic for Sparta Moscow, and he added two goals and two assists in 2011 for the team. He is going to be crucial because it’s very likely that Keane will be the point man and he can’t do it on his own; with his trickery and pace, McGeady can really burst into the spotlight at Euro 2012.

Don’t forget about Kevin Doyle, who will be the target striker if the manager decides to use two, and the veteran Duff, who is still a threat if he can remain healthy. That has been a running theme throughout Duff’s career, and his country could really use his pace down the win in Poland and the Ukraine.

Defense

The defense could very well be the key to Ireland’s soccer betting odds this summer in a group with Spain, although they did allow just seven goals in 10 matches. Glenn Whelan and Keith Andrews will run their socks off in midfield trying to shield the likes of Richard Dunn and John O’Shea, who are great in the air and have positional sense, but they’re not quick. Ireland may need him to have the best week of his life just to get to the next stage, but if there is one player that Irish fans don’t have to worry about battling nerves or being overwhelmed, it is Given, who has the record with 121 caps for his country.

Intangibles

Trappattoni would have added another honor to his illustrious resume by guiding the team to the World Cup in 2010, but they were cruelly eliminated by an infamous goal against France that involved Theirry Henry and a blatant handball. The program could have fallen apart after that, but Trappattoni pulled the team together and they roared through qualification with six wins and three draws in 10 matches.

All you have to do is look at the honors for “Trap”: nine Serie A titles (two as a player), one Bundesliga crown and a number of European competitions as both a player and manager. He knows what it takes to perform at tournaments like this and that could be most important weapon that the Irish have on their side.

How It Will Play Out

Ireland’s soccer betting odds aren’t looking good for Euro 2012 as they’re rated at +1400 in Group B with Spain, Italy (Trappattoni’s home country) and Croatia, and it may be too much to ask of Ireland to even win their group. Portugal scored 21 goals in their 10 qualification matches as they finished in second place in Group H behind Denmark, and seven came off the boot of captain Cristiano Ronaldo, who just powered Real Madrid to the top of La Liga in Spain and is one of the top soccer betting favorites for World Player of the Year. A big Euro 2012 will put Ronaldo in the driver’s seat for the award, but the criticism on the forward is, like his Barcelona rival Lionel Messi, Ronaldo has never really carried over his club play to his country. This is a massive chance to quiet those critics, especially with the competition Portugal faces in their group.

But Ronaldo has to have some help and that should come in the form of fellow striker Helder Postiga, who scored four goals in six 2011 matches, while Nani added three goals and two assists from the wing and he has the ability to be a gamebreaker for Portugal. Ronaldo is surely going to attract a lot of attention from opposing defenses and Nani provides a good outlet for the Portuguese counterattack. He has been inconsistent for Manchester United this season, but when he is on, Nani can be a handful for any fullback.

Defense

This is where the Portuguese struggled during qualification as they allowed 12 goals in 10 matches, which doesn’t seem like a lot, but in soccer that is the sign of a leaky defense. Rui Patricio seems to be the man between the sticks, but he is only 24 and has just 10 international appearances under his belt, although five of those came in 2011. Bruno Alves is the most experienced defender and should be joined by Joao Pereira, Pepe and Fabio Coentrao, but Portugal was shaky at the back and allowed three goals at home against Iceland, a team that isn’t exactly loaded with attacking options.

Miguel Veloso and Joao Moutinho will be crucial to Portugal’s soccer betting hopes this summer as they’ll have to form a defensive shield in front of the back four to take some of the pressure off Alves and company. Portugal are going to run into Germany and the Netherlands, two of the best attacking sides in Europe, and if the midfielders don’t track back and help, Portugal are going to find themselves out of the tournament quickly, no matter how many goals Ronaldo can score.

Intangibles

Paulo Bento took over the team from Carlos Queiroz after Portugal failed to make it out of the group stage at the World Cup in South Africa, and he was the federation’s second choice after another failed attempt to lure Jose Mourinho from Real Madrid. But Bento has led the side to a few big wins, such as a 4-0 thrashing of rival Spain in a friendly in November. Even though it was only a friendly, it was still an encouraging performance from the team, which lost just once in 11 matches in 2011.

However, Bento represented the national team 35 times as a defensive midfielder and he understands that Portugal has to tighten things up at the back if they’re going to win their first international tournament. Look for defense to be a priority of his leading up to Euro 2012.

How It Will Play Out

As was mentioned before, the soccer betting odds are against Portugal in this tournament’s “group of death” as they’re rated at +400 to win Group B, and then +1800 to win the European Championship. Well it’s not really strange as it is common. That ”power” is called Intuition or insight it is normal in people but it rarely gets noticed so people assume it’s coincidence. It’s just an extinction of your psychic abilities and yes everyone has ”Hidden” psychic abilites. You can further develop insight by doing psychic excercises. You can research it if you want. For instance there is an excellent chance in most areas that a substitute math teacher is going to be a fat indian guy. Offense

Poland didn’t have to play any qualification matches as the co-hosts of this tournament, but that doesn’t mean they sat back and waited for the best in Europe to come to them, playing 15 matches since February 2011 and they still have three left to go before the tournament starts. The offense is largely a two-man show between forward Robert Lewandowski and midfielder Jakub Blaszczykowski, who has captained the side since November 2010. The pair recently led Borussia Dortmund to the Bundesliga title, as well as the DFB-Pokal final, which is the first time that Dortmund has ever done the cup-league double and they’re looking to bring that success to the national team. Lewandowski is just 23 and won the Bundesliga’s Player of the Year award, while Blaszczykowski, who also goes by “Kuba”, is just 26 and should be the spine of the Polish side for years to come.

But who scores if they can’t find the back of the net? Pawel Brozek is the next best option up front, while Waldemar Sobota is an interesting option for the midfield if he is named to the team. Outside of their Dortmund duo, the White and Reds don’t have a lot going on for attacking players, so they’ll need someone to step up and support Blaszczykowski and Lewandowski.

Defense

This is where the Poles’ soccer betting chances really lie because of their attacking deficiencies and they can’t afford to allow many goals or else they’ll be out in the group stages. It appears as though Wojciech Szczesny has not only taken the No.1 goalkeeper spot from Arsenal teammate Lukasz Fabianski at their club, but also for their country and the 22-year-old doesn’t plan on letting it go anytime soon. His father, Maciej, also tended goal for the Poles, and Szczesny would love to lead his country to the next level. In terms of experience, Marcin Wasilewski, Jakub Wawrzyniak, Tomas Jodlowiec and Lukas Piszczek have the most among the defenders, and Piszczek may be the most important out of these four as he is another Dortmund player who is used to playing in front of big crowds, so he’ll be able to use the experience from this season to help his teammates deal with the pressure of being a co-host in Europe’s biggest tournament.

There isn’t a lot of depth at the back, so the Poles can’t afford many injuries, if any, alongside their back line. Szczesny has looked shaky at times for Arsenal behind a suspect and injury-prone defense, but he has also carried the team to a couple of wins when they didn’t deserve. The man between the sticks may just end up being the key to Poland’s chances this summer.

Smuda has been working with this team for almost three years now and know which players are going to perform under the bright lights of a tournament such as the European Championship. Being a defender during his playing days, Smuda is going to focus on the back of the team because as was mentioned before, if Poland leaks in that area, they’re going to be a world of trouble. They have also played some big-name sides while getting ready for this tournament, such as France, Argentina, Mexico and Germany, and have held their own, but those were in friendlies when teams were likely toying with formations and combinations. Smuda will have a much tougher task on his hands at the Euros.

How It Will Play Out

Soccer betting odds have Poland at +300 to win Group A, which includes Russia, the Czech Republic and Greece, and +5000 to win the tournament. Winning it all may be a bit ambitious for Poland, who only qualified for the European Championship for the first time in 2008 and fell out of the group stages, but with the home crowd behind, they could stun a few experts.
